I'd like to sincerely thank you and the FEF organization for the scholarship. It's financial assistance like this that allows students like me to spend more hours in the lab instead of at a job in order to pay bills. For this I am extremely grateful as my time spent working in the metals lab is both invaluable to my success in a future career and enjoyable. The money will be well spent on bills such as rent and tuition.

As a recipient of an FEF scholarship, I would like to thank you. I am honored to have been selected to receive a reward for academic achievement, leadership, and professional potential. It is opportunities like these that make education possible for students of casting and metallurgy.

As the acting president of the student chapter of AFS at UW-Platteville, I look forward to making more connections with the leadership within the industry. The close ties with the industry are extremely valuable to the students in the metals program. There will be a lot of learning and leadership opportunities for me this year, as well as opportunities to share knowledge and experience with fellow students.

Again, I sincerely thank you for the generous contribution and support through the award of the scholarship. It will help pay for my educational expenses, allowing me to spend more time studying than working. I am anxiously nearing the end of my education and the beginning of a career in the metal casting industry.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to you for making the Foundry Educational Foundation scholarship possible. I was excited and appreciative when I became aware of my selection for this honor.

I am currently majoring in Industrial Technology Management with an emphasis on Metals and Entrepreneurship. I aspire to becoming a Quality Engineer, or a Manufacturing Engineer, and further down the road I look forward to starting a business. The financial assistance that you have provided me will help to pay for my educational expenses and lighten my financial burden, as well as allow me to focus on my studies. By receiving this scholarship, I am motivated to continue my involvement in the American Foundry Society at Platteville.

Thank you again for this schoalrship. Your generosity and support have inspired me to give back to others. I will work hard so that I will be in a position to give back to the others in need as you have given to me.

I thank you for awarding me the honor of this scholarship. I will use this money in pursuit of my degree in Mechanical Engineering. This, along with my experiences in AFS and up-coming co-op at Mercury Marine, will help round out my degree in industry. Thank you so very much.

I am writing to thank you for the generous FEF scholarship I received and am appreciative of the support to both me and our program. It will be extremely helpful towards my tuition expenses.

I am a Mechanical Engineering student with minors in Metals Processing Technology and Spanish. Through our metals program, I have been exposed to countless different processes through hands-on experience and industry relations. I have appreciated the opportunities to work with other students and universities, through tours of their facilities to our up-coming trip to Mexico to work wih the Saltillo students.

I have learned so much from this program and industry and I hope to have an enriching career. I am looking forward to joining the foundry industry after graduation and hope to remain involved in both AFS and FEF.

Thank you again for this scholarship, our program would not exist without FEF!

I'd like to sincerely thank you for the FEF scholarship I received, as well as all the assistance you have provided to UW Platteville. I am a junior here at UW Platteville, majoring in Manufacturing Technology Management with a Metals Processing minor. It has been my goal since I began my education at UW-Platteville to become the Machine Tool Operation instructor at the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Ashland Campus. This was the program I went through during my senior year at high school. And the most educational, challenging, and interesting project I completed was the machining of a large bench vise from gray cast iron castings. With the knowledge I will have acquired from my coursework I believe I will be able to greatly contribute to this specific position in the northern Wisconsin region. Incorporating basic metallurgy into the curriculum of Machine Tool would be an improvement to the knowledge of graduates. Additionally, I would like to pursue introducing a small foundry and casting program in the WITC Ashland campus. Graduates of these programs would have an introduction to foundry work should they choose to go into the metal casting industry, and the machinists would have a better understanding of the process of machine castings. I greatly appreciate the assistance you have given me by providing this scholarship to help me complete my education.

As a recipient of the 2017/18 FEF scholarship, I would like to express my genuine gratitude for the generosity awarded to me through this scholarship. I am extremely honored to have been chosen to receive both your financial and academic support for my higher education, as a result of my interest in Cast Metals. I am proud to have been selected for my academic achievement, as well as my demonstrated leadership and professional potential. I am sincerely passionate about the metal casting industry, looking forward to a career in which I can practice this discipline.

As a newly elected officer of the student chapter of AFS at UW-Platteville, I look forward to serving in this capacity. Leading fellow classmates in this role will provide me with a valuable opportunity. I also look forward to making more connections with the leadership within the industry, not to mention the opportunities to see and learn through presentations and tours. This year, I learned to work more intensely and more proficiently, as a result of my metals courses with Dr. Metzloff. I appreciate his guidance and knowledge base. I know that this experience will prepare me well for my future career.

Again, thank you, for your generous contribution and support. The scholarship you have provided will be of great help to me in paying for my educational expenses, and it will allow me to concentrate more of my time on studying than on working. This scholarship will also bring me a step closer to fulfilling my passion and achieving my goal of having a career related to the metal casting industry.
